  • Changwon, signed MOU of EV battery waste recycling technology development

    To respond to the rapidly growing EV market, City of Changwon (Mayor, Heo Seong-moo) signed MOU for EV battery waste reuse and recycling technology and R&D with Central Co., Ltd. and ROFA Co., Ltd. in the head office of Central Group at 11:20 on 24th of February, and tried to find a plan for developing EV battery waste recycling business, reportedly.

    Unlike primary batteries that are used once and thrown away, secondary batteries that are charged and used semi-permanently are key parts of future automobiles such as electric vehicles and hydrogen cars. However, it is difficult to find high-quality human resources to develop and study secondary batteries in provincial cities. Changwon University has decided to establish the first graduate school specializing in secondary batteries in the Yeongnam region.
